Chemical Peels

Chemical Peels are a great treatment for those looking to remove layers of damaged, dull skin. We apply an acidic solution to the skin causing it to exfoliate the outer layers and reveal your healthy skin underneath. This will give an instant brightened and radiant complexion while combatting skin concerns such as hyperpigmentation, acne, fine lines, uneven texture/tone and more. Each peel solution focuses on targeting different skin concerns, so during the Consultation we discuss which peel is best for you based on your skin type and what you’re looking to achieve.

Chemical Peel FAQ’s

How should I prepare for a peel?

A Consultation is done 4 weeks prior to the peel. Here you will be given a Pre-treatment kit to take home and use for the next 4 weeks, making sure your skin is well prepped for the treatment.

How long will my skin peel for?

Typically you will begin to peel on Day 3 and it lasts until about Day 14. Total downtime is 2 weeks.

When will I see the results?

Once your skin is healed and finished peeling, which is 14 days after the peel was performed.

What do peels help with?

Hyperpigmentation, acne, fine lines, wrinkles, pore size, texture, & skin tone. Each peel targets it’s own set of skin concerns, so we choose a peel that’s best suitable for your skin that will give you the results you’re looking to achieve.

How many treatments do I need?

It all depends on what we’re looking to treat and the severity of the concern. A series of 3 peels is a great starting point to get max results.

How do I care for my skin?

With each peel you will be given a Post-treatment Kit to take home and use for the next 2-3 weeks.

Do chemical peels hurt?

I like to say chemical peels are “spicy” because we can usually feel heat and a tingling sensation when applied. This does vary based on how sensitive your skin is + what type of peel we’re doing.

What are the contraindications?

The most common are pregnancy, breastfeeding, active bacterial or fungal infections, severe rosacea, Accutane therapy, open facial lesions or wounds. A full list will be provided during the consult.

How strong are the peels you offer?

We mainly carry Medium-Depth peels because when opting into a chemical peel, results are what our clients look for. This is why the downtime is 14 days vs. the traditional 5-7.
